As they say, accessories are a girl’s best friend and we are
carrying a line of vintage earrings, headbands, wallets and coffee/tea cup
cozies created by local artist Chanel Alessi of Beachwalk Designs. Each item is truly a unique treasure!
When I first met Chanel, she designed and hand crafted beach
glass jewelry. Over the years her work has matured and her designs have become more
intricate. Each piece intrinsically evokes emotion and beauty. Still creating
beautiful jewelry pieces, Chanel decided to take another road…one that is
exciting, whimsical and fun! Chanel now
creates and hand sews vintage accessories that tap into your 1940-1950’s era
soul!
I personally love the button earrings; I simply cannot
choose which ones I want! Hand made from vintage fabrics dating from the 1930’s
to the 60’s, the only-one-of-its-kind earrings are simple, wear-with-anything
accessories. Small, medium and large styles are available and all have surgical
steel posts with plastic back closures. With a wide assortment of colors and
designs, you’ll want several pair to complement your wardrobe.
Perfect for those hot summer days or a trip to the beach are
Chanel’s distinctive and whimsical headbands. All are hand sewn, adjustable and
are an original design. The Rosie the Riveter style ties on top and measures 3”
x 3ft. The Suzy Homemaker style uses Velcro in the back and measures 3” x 2
1/2ft. Perfect for outdoor/indoor work,
shower, spa, or a lazy day!
Chanel’s wallets are extremely popular items that will add a
touch of feminine beauty to any purse or tote. Each is a hand sewn original
design making each a pretty holder for money, coupons, checkbook, iPhone, iPod,
or anything! Many are made from vintage fabrics and each comes with Velcro
closure, measuring 7 ½” x4” when closed.
To keep yours hands dry during these steamy summer days and
nights are Coffee/Tea Cup Cozies. Stop wasting café cardboard sleeves and use a
hand sewn reusable sleeve for your to-go cups or personal mugs at home. Each is
made with vintage fabric and is reversible.
How to pull together that vintage look? Throw on a pair of jeans
and a white blouse; add Chanel’s earrings and headband, grab your vintage style
wallet and coffee/tea cozy and you’ll be ready to jump into that shinny red
convertible and head out on historic Route 66. So tres chic…
